JEWELLERY WITH A STORY: A JOURNEY ACROSS LANDS AND OCEANS

Shela's love for jewellery began in the heart of Kenya, East Africa, where she was born and raised.
Growing up, she spent much of her childhood in the bush, immersed in the wild beauty of the land. The vibrant colours of Maasai beads and the glistening copper adornments worn by the elders captivated her imagination from a young age.

At home she would lose herself in her Mothers's exquisite jewellery boxes, enchanted by each piece, each story, each glimmering stone - these moments became the foundation of her lifelong passion.

Shela's deep connection to the natural world would take her on remote camping expeditions in Kenya, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Shompole and Lake Natron. In these untouched lands, she handpicked rare gemstones, carefully selected for their unique colours, patterns and energies. 
These precious finds are now transformed into bespoke jewellery pieces, each one carrying the raw beauty and spirit of the Earth.

At just 11 years old, Shela's creativity turned into something tangible when she began selling her handmade Maasai beaded copper rings in New York through a close family friend. 
This early success only fueled her love for craftsmanship and design, pushing her to explore jewellery in every corner of the world.

As she grew, her journey took her to Dubai, a place where jewellery is more than just an accessory - it is a statement of culture, history, and luxury.
The intricate goldwork, the rich heritage of Middle East designs, and the bustling souks filled with gemstones deepens her appreciation for the art of jewellery making.

Her travels eventually led her to Egypt, where she lived in the mesmerizing coastal town of Sharm El Sheikh while pursuing a career in Scuba Diving.
The Red Sea, with its kaleidoscope of corals, became another endless source of inspiration.
She began collecting pieces of sea glass from beaches, crafting them into jewellery, each piece holding the essence of the ocean.

Shela's journey - spanning continents, cultures, and oceans - has shaped the essence of her jewellery brand.
